Stanislav Barilov

Stan Barilov is an active-duty Security Forces Officer in the United States Air Force, currently stationed at Joint Base Andrews.
Stan was born in Eastern Siberia in the town of Magadan, Russia where he found his love for the game of hockey and ultimately choosing the goaltending positions. As a child, Stan spent his youth in Anchorage, Alaska where he played for the Jr. Aces (tier II) and North Stars (tier II) youth hockey programs. He spent his teenage years back in Russia and was exposed to opportunities to train and play with KHL Youth Academy Teams like Dynamo, Moscow, CSKA, Moscow and AK Bars, Kazan.
After joining the military in Alaska and a tour in Afghanistan, Stan represented the Air Force 204-18 as the starting goaltender in the Annual Alaska Army vs Air Force hockey games. Furthermore, he continued to develop his craft by working personally with coach Steve Thompson (USA Hockey, Manager of Player Development – Goaltending and goaltending coach for the U.S. Women’s National Team) and got the opportunity to attend main camp with the Pensacola Ice Flyers, Southern Professional Hockey League and play with the Port Huron Prowlers, Federal Prospects Hockey League.
Stan is a long-standing member and starting goaltender of the D.C. Armed Forces Hockey Club “A” team and helped the club secure victory in the 2024 Armed Services Hockey International Tournament.
Stan holds an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Community College of the Air Force and an undergraduate degree in International Relations, Globalization and Human Security from American Military University. His military service, wealth of knowledge and international experience as a goalie is a phenomenal addition to the STJ program and the development of its players.
