Matt Vandeveire
bio
Coach Matt started his playing career at BRYC, where he played club volleyball for eight years as a setter and libero. During that time, he earned six consecutive CHRVA Regional Championships and made six consecutive USAV Junior Nationals appearances. After high school, Matt began his collegiate career competing in NCAA Division III at Penn State Behrend and Penn State Altoona for two years before transferring to Virginia Tech to play for their club program. After college, Matt continued competing in the VLA with the DC Dynasty organization.
Matt’s coaching philosophy is centered around player development, team chemistry, and helping players become the best version of themselves both on and off the court. He wants every player to build strong fundamentals, improve their volleyball IQ, gain confidence, and develop meaningful long-term goals both academically and athletically. Every player has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and make a meaningful contribution to the team. His ultimate goal is to provide each player with the knowledge, experience, and resources they need to succeed at the next level, whether that is in academics, volleyball, or both.
