bio

Jan Enriquez’s passion for the game began over three decades ago as a setter in high school. At the United States Military Academy, Jan was a member of its D1 Women’s Volleyball program staff assisting with practices and drills while also handling team statistics, video, and other day-to-day team operations. During his time with the program, the team won back-to back Patriot League championships. After graduating and receiving his commission as a U.S. Army Signal Officer, he continued playing volleyball in adult leagues and tournaments as he and his wife moved from base to base during their military careers. While living in Colorado Springs, he coached his coed team to a 1st place finish in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain State Games.

Jan has been a member of the St. James coaching team as a programs coach and last year as the St. James Academy Volleyball coach. He believes on-court success begins with strong individual and team fundamentals, as well as a commitment to teamwork.

Jan is still active in organizing and playing in various competitive leagues and open gyms in Northern Virginia. He has also coached youth level soccer and basketball, and has both USAV and US Soccer coaching certifications. Jan and his wife Christine have two sons, Christopher and Tristan, both of whom played club soccer.
