Jake Kaplan

This is Coach Jake’s fourth year at The St. James. For the last 2 seasons, he led the 14 and 15 Navy teams respectively, to Open division qualifications at AAU Nationals. Before that, he assisted the Boy’s 17 Navy squad, who also made an Open appearance.

Outside of The St. James, Jake is entering his third season as an Assistant Coach for the Marymount University (VA) Men’s Program in Arlington. He previously served as the head Coach at South Lakes High School in Reston but has recently stepped aside.

As a player, Jake competed for Vassar College (DIII) in Poughkeepsie, NY, making an NCAA tournament appearance in 2021. He then completed his Master’s Degrees overseas at Newcastle University (UK) while competing in both the BUCS Premier League and the English Super League. Additionally, Jake represented the United States in the Maccabiah Games in 2015 and 2022, medaling in both tournaments.
