Hannah

bio

Hannah brings over 14 years of playing experience and 5+ years of coaching to The St. James. A native NOVA resident, Hannah got her start in the sport at a young age and soon entered the expansive world of competitive volleyball. Playing club since age 11, Hannah began her career as a pin hitter and quickly transitioned into a libero. Hannah attended Hayfield Secondary School and played for The St. James during its inaugural club season, continuing to represent the club through the latter years of high school.

As a standout passer and defensive leader, she was able to draw high-level attention from college scouts across all three NCAA divisions. Hannah played collegiate volleyball for the University of Mary Washington, where she led the team to a conference championship and back-to-back NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearances. Her name is in the program record books for both individual season statistics and all-time statistics.

Upon finishing undergraduate studies, Hannah knew that her playing career was not over. With more to give, she took her expertise overseas and spent the 2025-2026 season playing professionally in the United Kingdom where she attended Durham University to receive a master’s in finance. While in the UK, Hannah played both indoor and beach volleyball. In an unparalleled professional season for the Durham Palatinates in England’s Super League, Hannah helped lead her team to an undefeated indoor season, achieving a recording-breaking 34-0 winning streak, only dropping 6 sets on the entire year. Hannah is a Volleyball England Super League Champion, a UK National Cup Champion, a BUCS Indoor Finals Champion, and a BUCS Beach Silver Medalist.

Alongside her playing, Hannah coached at 540 Volleyball Academy for all four years of undergrad. Being at the forefront of in-house programming and private lessons there, Hannah’s experience spans from defensive and libero specialization to full-scale summer camp management. With both club, clinic, and 1-on-1 coaching experience, Hannah’s passion for player development and relationship building, technical training, and high-level performance brings her back to The St. James to continue to shape young female athletes into powerhouse players.

Having coached at The St. James in prior years, Hannah is happy to be back at her second home, and excited to get started in her first year of coaching club with the organization. She is looking forward to working with her team and creating an experience that is worthwhile for every player that steps on her court.
