She also hosted college Q&A sessions for her athletes, featuring AVCA Hall of Fame Coach Ray Bechard and the University of Kansas’ winningest volleyball player, Tiana Dockery, giving her players valuable firsthand insight into the collegiate volleyball experience. She is also entering her second season at Georgetown Day School as the Head JV Coach, where her team went 12–1 in her debut year.
Ashley’s passion for volleyball is rooted in her playing career at Bowie High School, where she earned all‑county honors and team MVP while helping lead the program to a 17–1 record, Maryland 4A Regional and County championships, and a state semifinal appearance. She continued at the University of Kansas as a defensive specialist for the KU Women’s Club Volleyball team, contributing to their 2015 National D1 Club Championship.
While at Kansas, Ashley served as team manager for the Division I program under Coach Ray Bechard, working alongside assistant coaches Laura “Bird” Kuhn, Todd Chamberlain, and Wendel Carmargo. Through this role, she gained hands‑on experience in practice operations, game day management, and coaching camps. Their mentorship significantly shaped her understanding of the game and continues to influence her coaching today.
Ashley’s coaching journey began at Perry‑Lecompton High School and later at Sumner Academy in Kansas, where she helped lead the program to one of the most successful seasons in school history.
She brings deep knowledge, a fun, competitive coaching style, and a passion for developing athletes and fostering a strong team culture at The St. James.
