Anita Celebic

Anita Celebic brings a unique combination of playing experience, leadership, and passion for the game to St. James Volleyball. A Northern Virginia native, Anita began playing volleyball at the U14 level and was a member of the very first St. James travel volleyball program, competing with the club from her U16 through U18 seasons. Her experience as both a player and coach has shaped her commitment to helping athletes grow both on and off the court.

Anita continued her volleyball career at Virginia Tech, where she competed with the Women’s Club Volleyball team for four years. Throughout her collegiate career, she served in multiple leadership roles, including team captain for several seasons, club secretary during her junior year, and club president during her senior year. As president, she managed the day-to-day operations of the organization, oversaw club systems, organized practices, developed rosters and lineups, and worked to ensure the continued success of the program.

During her summers home from college, Anita served as a camp counselor and court coach for St. James Volleyball camps, where she discovered her passion for coaching and player development. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2025, she returned to Northern Virginia and recently completed her first season competing in the DC Dynasty Women’s Volleyball League with the Rockville Royalty. She also continues to compete at a high level in grass volleyball throughout the summer.

Anita is excited to make her coaching debut with St. James Volleyball this club season. Having grown up in the very program she now has the opportunity to coach, she looks forward to giving back to the club that played such an important role in her development while helping the next generation of athletes build confidence, compete with purpose, and develop a lifelong love for the game.
