Dr. Jessie Bricker, PT, DPT is the Head Coach for The St. James Swim Team, where she primarily coaches the 15–18 age group. A USA Swimming–certified coach, Jessie has been part of the STJ coaching staff since 2019 and brings extensive experience in athlete development, leadership, and competitive swimming.
Jessie began her coaching career in 2014 as a lane coach with the MVP Gators and quickly discovered her passion for mentoring swimmers. Since then, she has coached across a wide range of programs, including summer league, age group, senior, masters, private lessons, and pro bono coaching. In addition to her role at STJ, she served as Head Coach of the Hunt Valley Stingrays from 2021 to 2023.
A lifelong swimmer, Jessie competed for 16 years on club teams across the country, swam in the NVSL while living in Virginia, and spent four years on the Marymount University women’s swim team, where she was named co-captain during her senior season. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Marymount University in 2020 and later completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, allowing her to incorporate advanced knowledge of movement, performance, and injury prevention into her coaching.
Jessie believes in a quality-over-quantity training philosophy and is committed to recognizing each athlete as an individual, supporting their growth both in and out of the pool. Outside of swimming, she serves as an Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves, enjoys traveling, and is a proud dog mom to her puppy, Theo.
