Rufus Manning is a passionate and dedicated soccer coach with experience developing youth players at the national, regional, and grassroots levels. A lifelong student of the game, he recently earned his U.S. Soccer Federation National B License and currently serves as Assistant Head Coach for multiple St. James FC Girls Academy teams. Rufus focuses on building competitive, cohesive teams grounded in technical skill, tactical awareness, and player development, helping athletes reach their full potential.
Before joining St. James FC, Rufus coached with Northern Virginia Alliance (NVA), Virginia Valor FC, and in local VSA and NVSC recreational programs. His teams have competed successfully in ECNL, Girls Academy, Super Y, and NCSL, achieving playoff berths and tournament titles. A graduate of N.C. State University, Rufus lives in Prince William County with his wife Melissa, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and is a proud father of three college students. An Arsenal FC and U.S. National Teams supporter, he brings energy, mentorship, and a lifelong love of the game to every team he leads.
