Coach Poole has been immersed in the world of competitive swimming from an early age, beginning her journey as a year-round athlete training with elite swim clubs. Her dedication to the sport was shaped by countless early mornings on deck, including 5 a.m. practices and outdoor sessions in all seasons—experiences that instilled discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for the commitment swimming requires.
Swimming is more than a sport to Coach Poole; it is a foundation for personal growth. Through her coaching, she emphasizes the values of hard work, perseverance, and confidence, striving to help swimmers build strong character alongside strong skills in the water. Her approach reflects a passion for developing well-rounded athletes who find joy and purpose in the sport.
Outside of the pool, Coach Poole maintains a strong commitment to health and fitness, embracing an active lifestyle that complements her coaching philosophy. She has coached at The St. James for Academics, working with swimmers in the Splash and Stroke Academy, and also provides private lessons tailored to individual development.
In addition to her coaching roles, Coach Poole is a real estate agent and a proud mother of two. Both of her children are accomplished swimmers, including her son Harrison, who recently completed his first year swimming at The St. James and earned the title of NVSL Divisional Champion during the 2023 season. In every role she takes on—coach, parent, and professional—Coach Poole is dedicated to inspiring, guiding, and empowering those around her, and she is excited to be part of each swimmer’s journey at The St. James.
