Highlights

  • As a standout player at Langley High School, Coach Sidney earned First Team All Met honors from the Washington Post in 2019, recognizing her as one of the top softball players in the region.

  • She was recruited to play Division 1 softball at GWU under Coach Shane Winkler (now Head Coach at ECU). Her freshman year her team won the A-10 championship advancing to the NCAA regionals at LSU. Her sophomore year she contributed to the team’s success as they captured the A-10 Regular Season Championship.

Coach Sidney is a recently retired Division 1 athlete who played softball at George Washington University. Over her 18 year softball career, she developed her skills across multiple positions; reaching true utility status by college.

Now serving as the Head Coach for the St. James 14u softball team, Coach Sidney brings her passion, experience, and leadership to the next generation of players. She is dedicated to creating a positive, supportive environment that emphasizes player development, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game.

Her approach to coaching centers on helping young athletes grow both on and off the field, building confidence, character, and a lifelong appreciation for softball.
