Q: Schedule & Commitment

Our travel softball teams practice 2–3 times per week to support consistent development throughout the season. Regular training allows athletes to build skills progressively while reinforcing game understanding and confidence. Practices focus on fundamental softball skills, softball IQ and mental approach, as well as speed and strength development. Training plans are adjusted week to week based on seasonal demands and team needs. Practice locations rotate and may include the STJ Field House, STJ Hitting House, or county- and league-approved fields.

Player Evaluations

We use cumulative individual player development data as well as subjective input from our coaching staff while monitoring players’ progress throughout each season. Our coaching staff conducts regular 5-tool assessments (Hit Tool, Power Tool, Throwing Tool, Field Tool, Run Tool) to identify areas for improvement and provide individualized feedback to each player.

We believe in fostering growth and helping players reach their best. To accomplish this, we are constantly observing players’ skills, attitude, teamwork, and sportsmanship levels. Open and clear communication from player to coach to family is imperative to the development process and the overall success of the player and our program in the future.
