Patrick Kaindl

Patrick began coaching at the recreational level in 2017 before moving into a travel coaching position at the under-8 through under-10 ages for the Eclipse Select Soccer Club based in the Chicagoland area. His front office roles within the club included Director of Digital Media and Marketing, Merchandise Coordinator, and Tournament Director.
He came to The St. James FC in the Summer of 2023 to head the Chantilly location at the under-7 to under-10 ages. Patrick’s role oversees the Discover Soccer program (2-5 year-olds) and Rec Soccer program (6-10 year-olds) in both Chantilly and Springfield. He also leads the Chantilly under-8 Academy program and the under-9 through under-12 travel teams based in Chantilly. Patrick also plays a vital role in the planning and execution of camps, clinics, events, and international tours within The St. James x Chelsea FC partnership..
Patrick currently holds a USSF D license in coaching. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Dayton. He furthered his education obtaining his master’s degree in organizational leadership from Olivet Nazarene University in the summer of 2023.
His coaching philosophy is based in teaching proper technique and fundamentals while working to master them at game speed or “technical edge.” Mastering ones’ technical edge leads to a more confident player that can execute under pressure within a match environment. Off the field, Patrick prioritizes developing the human, not just the player, to work within a team setting learning to take leadership roles, personal reflection skills, and accountability for their own personal player development.
Patrick grew up in the Chicagoland area where he played at all levels of youth soccer with the Chicago Magic Soccer Club and Chicago Fire Soccer Club Development Academy. He was a two-year varsity letter winner for the Neuqua Valley High School.
Patrick and his wife Kelcey currently live in Sterling, VA with their infant daughter and their dog Woody.
