Nigel Cross is a decorated former wrestler whose high school dominance and collegiate experience laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to the sport. A standout athlete from the start, Cross captured the 2008 High School State Championship, earned a spot on the Gazette All-Decade Team, and was recognized twice as a Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention. During his high school career, he achieved a 58-match win streak, qualified for states three times, and secured two regional titles—finishing with an overall record of 91 wins and 22 losses. His performance on the national stage earned him a ranking in WIN Magazine and MAWA All-American honors.

Cross continued his wrestling career at the collegiate level with Ashland University, competing with the same intensity and discipline that marked his earlier success. Committed to deepening his knowledge of athletic performance, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science with a concentration in Coaching.

Today, Cross combines his firsthand experience as an elite athlete with academic expertise in training and development, contributing to the sport through coaching, mentorship, and performance programming.
