Kelsey Otersen

Kelsey Otersen is a USA Field Hockey Level 1 Certified coach with more than 15 years of experience developing athletes in Northern Virginia.
Her coaching career began in 2010 at Mount Vernon High School, where she spent nine seasons as Head JV and Varsity Assistant Field Hockey Coach. During her tenure, the Majors captured three National District Championships and made a Northern Region Final Four appearance. Kelsey also led the Mount Vernon Varsity Girls Soccer program for three seasons, earning “Coach of the Year” honors for her leadership and team success.
Kelsey now serves as the Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach at South County High School in Lorton, VA, where she is in her fifth season guiding the Stallions. Beyond the high school level, she volunteers as the Field Hockey Commissioner for the South County Athletic Association, fostering growth and enthusiasm for the sport among the youngest athletes in her community.
