Rachel earned three varsity letters during her time with the James Madison Warhawks. During her tenure she collected All-State and All Met accolades and was honored as the Conference Player of the Year for her efforts as a senior. She was a three-time All-Conference and All-Region honoree during her career and served as a team captain during her final two campaigns. She played club field hockey for Capital Pegasus and was a National Futures and Junior Olympics selection in 2014.

Rachel graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2020. As a midfielder, she was a NFHCA and Synapse Sports All American, 4x All Conference Team, 2x All State Team and 2x All Region Team. In her senior year she was named to the All Tournament Team and nominated to appear in the NFHCA Senior All-Star game. She currently ranks second in program history in minutes (4,607), sixth in starts (73), and twelfth in appearances (74).

Rachel coached three seasons at her high school alma mater (James Madison) and was a part of the coaching staff that led the Warhawks to their first state championship in 2021. She coached club field hockey for Husel Hockey for four years and currently coaches for the St James. In addition to coaching she continues to play for a competitive adult field hockey team in the area (Washington Field Hockey Association). Her team won the USFHL National Club Championship in 2023 and came in second place in 2025 at the National Indoor Tournament. She currently sits on the Executive Board as well, serving as the Tournament Executive.

Fun fact: Rachel started playing field hockey her freshman year of high school as a way to get in shape for soccer season. She fell in love with the sport and never looked back!
